Program The day runs Monday to Friday from 9 am – 2:30 pm. Saturday includes a short morning rehearsal and an afternoon concert by participants. Each day is divided into multiple activities ranging from focused skill practice to ensemble rehearsal to musical games. There will be two ensembles organized by age and ability as well as an advanced chamber music workshop for a small number of students. The Acorn Ensemble welcomes beginning players and focuses on listening, playing together, reading music and basic ensemble skills. Learn new music in a fun and encouraging environment! The Red Oak Ensemble invites intermediate level players to focus on developing ensemble skills through more challenging repertoire. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the elements of music and musicianship. Advanced Chamber Music Workshop is open to a select number of advanced students and explores major works from the standard repertoire, while emphasizing a high level of musicianship skills.
